Food forms an integral part of Indian weddings

Ranging from wedding budget, wedding decoration, wedding cards, wedding venue, wedding mandap, wedding photography, wedding shopping etc everything acquire a prominent status. Apart from all these things Indian weddings are also famous for tasty food.

Indian weddings are considered incomplete without delicious food. Special care is taken that food should be tasty. Bride’s parents make all its arrangement. As groom’s family is given main importance in any wedding, therefore food is prepared in the best possible manner to please them. Wedding food varies from region to region.

Earlier skilled cooks used to be hired for making food but today things are changing. Today people opt more for catering services. They take care of everything just you need to tell them food items and approx number of people. But all this should be done keeping your budget in mind. Make this decision wisely.

Indian wedding feast starts with starters. Starters are served before the main meal and are commonly both vegetarian and non vegetarian to cater all guest needs. Drinks are also served in some weddings. The drinks contain soft drinks, mocktails, wine, whiskey, etc.

Then after sometime it’s time for the main course meal. The main course consists of different types of vegetables, different types of daals, pulao, papad, rice, paneer and much more. This is complimented with various salads and other flavorers. It is also both vegetarian and non vegetarian. The meal is the heaviest and grandest of all and showcases the best delicacies of any cuisine.

After the main meal desserts are served. Deserts comprise ice cream, gulab jamun, jalebi etc. After serving deserts the Indian wedding feast comes to an end with Paan or ‘Vida’.

Thus Indian wedding menu is grand and food is simply delicious. And why not after all food forms an integral part of Indian weddings.
